Junior Hunt Club

We now have 36 paid up members – once you have paid your subscription of just £50 – you hunt free all season. We had a JHC Breakfast – children only – on the Saturday before Christmas with over 20 children sitting down to bacon and sausage rolls and Danish pastries. On Sunday 20 January one of the Joint Masters Mrs Pippa Grob is hosting an afternoon at her house – Come and learn all you need to know about hunting – you don’t have to be a JHC member to come along – if you would like to find out more about this afternoon event – do get in touch. Obviously children are welcome to come out on any hunting day but we do have an extra special day for children in half term. On Wednesday 20 February the Meet will be at West Meon and will again be preceded by a JHC breakfast. We also have a Horse and Hound reporter (and photographer!!) coming out with us that day as they would like to do a feature about a new Junior Hunt Club – it would be great to have as many of you as possible out that day and obviously there is a very good chance you could get your picture in Horse and Hound.

Hambledon Hunt North:Anti Bullying and Harassment Policy

As a pony club it is important to us that we all have fun, enjoy the rallies, events and camps.Alongside this we wish to ensure that all our members, their families, our instructors, committee members and volunteers are treated with the respect they all deserve. We therefore operate a ZERO Tolerance policy of bullying and harassment.

Bullying and Harassment can be defined as:

“Bullying or harassment is unwanted behaviour that violates an individual’s dignity or creates an intimidating, humiliating or offensive environment. It often involves an abuse of power or position and may be a single event, sporadic events or a continuing process.”

It could be:

  • Emotional, i.e. being unfriendly, tormenting, excluding, making unkind comments
  • Physical, i.e. pushing, kicking, hitting etc.
  • Racist, i.e. racial taunts or gestures
  • Verbal, i.e. teasing, sarcasm, spreading rumours
  • Homophobic i.e. making comments or taunts about the individual’s real or imagined sexual preferences
  • Online/ cyber i.e. taunts and unkind comments via emails, social networking sites, text messages
  • Over familiarity – Leading to people feeling uncomfortable or intimidated

We will not tolerate any unacceptable behaviour in person, over the phone, via email or via social media.Further steps may have to be taken if any members or their families who do not subscribe to this policy.

If you feel you are being bullied or harassed, or are aware of unacceptable behaviour and wish for them to be stopped please speak directly to Sarah Mosse as the DC of Hambledon Hunt North and she will take the necessary steps.

In paying for your membership you are acknowledging that you understand and agree to this policy.
