What to Wear

You can find the guidelines and dress codes by following the link here Dress and Tack download. The dress code for each of the sports is given in the individual rule books and these are updated yearly. We encourage you to look at these prior to attending any competitions. Members are expected to dress correctly and safely for all Pony Club activities which includes our rallies. 

 

 

Rallies

  • Clean and smart jodhpurs or breeches (Beige, white, cream, navy or black)
  • Riding top must cover shoulders, long sleeves must be worn XC
  • Sweatshirts, tops or coats must not have a hood
  • Coats should be a ‘Blouson/bomber’ style
  • Skull cap hats for XC
  • Gloves
  • Long boots or jodhpur boots with chaps 
  • Clean and correctly fitted tack 
  • Body protectors must be of BETA 2018 standard 
  • Hats must be worn at all times when mounted
  • Spurs may only be worn by members who have passed the pony club spurs test
  • Hair should be tied back and tidy in a net
  • It is recommended that all jewellery is removed. If worn it is done at the risk of the parent and rider. 
  • All hats should have a hat tag 

PC Competitions 

  • Clean and smart jodhpurs or riding tights (Beige, white, cream, navy or black)
  • Hacking jacket or competition jacket
  • Riding top must cover shoulders, long sleeves must be worn XC
  • Pony club tie or stock
  • PC Badge on left lapel with felt underneath (if applicable)
  • Coats should be a ‘Blouson/bomber’ style
  • Skull cap hats for XC
  • Gloves
  • Long boots or jodhpur boots with chaps 
  • Clean and correctly fitted tack

Pony Club Tests

  • PC Sweatshirt with PC badge on the left hand side with felt underneath (if applicable)
  • White or Blue Shirt
  • Pony club tie or stock
  • Beige, white, cream, navy or black jodhpurs or breeches
  • Riding hat with black or navy cover
  • Gloves 
  • Long boots or jodhpur boots with chaps
  • Spurs may only be worn by members who have passed the pony club spurs test
  • All hats should have a hat tag 

Extra information for Area, Regional and National Competitions  

We ask that you are turned out to the highest standard with clean and plaited ponies.

When representing Hambledon Hunt North Pony Club (HHNPC) at Area, regional and national competitions a HHNPC saddle cloth or XC colours will be supplied. Your discipline team coordinator will communicate to you when to pick up your appropriate kit or they may circulate it themselves. They are to be returned clean, dry and suitable to be reused.
