Spring Break 2024 Fun and ‘Games’

Show Jumping, Cowdray – 28th May

“Well, I’m sure all will agree, Hambledon Hunt North’s first outing of the Summer was most definitely a good one!
Young Sonnet J started us off with a brilliant WIN in the 40cm lead rein riding the lovely Twinkle, ably assisted by her father who ran like smoke!
Darcey E followed this up with a super and efficient clear to finish 3rd in the 40cm Off the Lead Rein!
Next it was the turn of the 70cm Team of Holly P, Isla G and Evie K who brought home a team placing of 5th. Excellent around a course which caused problems to many! Evie K jumped a superb and fast round to finish 7th individually on super Prue.
Another run up or was it down the hill (I went up/down it many times!) this time for the 80cm class. No team placing this time for Sienna R (who rode 2 ponies!) or Katie W, but Sienna did finish 8th on Django and 9th on Billy individually with both ponies only 0.8 of a second apart from each other! Well done Sienna!
Finally it was the turn of the 60cm team of Ellisia-May F, Darcy C and Grace P. Some excellent riding but just a bit steady for individual placings, but the team finished in a super 4th!
It’s the turn of the 80cm Eventers on Sunday! Think I will just about have recovered by then!

Area 80cm Eventing Qualifier – Coombelands, 2nd June

“Some fabulous results at the first Area of the Summer. In their arenas, Sienna R finished 2nd on Billy and 3rd on Django, Poppy T finished 5th on Lily, Grace S finished 5th on Joey (and best dressage) and Bella L finished 5th on Toto. All qualifying for the Regional Championships in August. In the Team Competition Grace S and Bagel, Bella and Toto, Sienna and Billy and Poppy and Lily finished in 3rd place. Grace and Joey and Sienna and Django joined an area mixed team finishing 4th. Well done girls!”
