Spring Newsletter!!!😊

Hello Spring
Welcome to our new members and friends
Please do also check your membership renewal dates and vaccination dates on your pony passposts
The Spring weather has certainly sent its fair share of challenges and i am sure we all need some sunshine
and turn out for our ponios
But we have still managed to do rallies, competed at competitions with success and pulled some fantastic
Area 4 results out of the bag
Our winter league dressage girls attacked the series with gusto and enthusiasm and certainly gave it their all
They were second in the league , with the result even stevens at the last comp and were just pipped at the post
by one point .
We have some interesting dressage combinations waiting in the wings for the next set of comps
Then came along our quizzers and blue cross horse care teams
Lots of Zoom/Teams/WhatsApp sessions with training and practical sessions taking place at Emma Lees
hot chocolate biscuits and cakes assist on these sessions.
We had a junior and a mini team in the quiz hosted by Oxenholme pony club
Both teams did well and i think suprised themselves on how much they learnt and enjoyed this activity
Holcombe were awarded best home made mascot on the day .
At the end of March three teams ,2 minis and 1 junior went to the blue cross horse care quiz at Eccleston
Equestrian Centre 9 members represented us 6 minis and 3 juniors
they flew the Holcombe Flag high and wore their our red and gold colours with pride
The Juniors won !!!!!!!!
Minis were 3rd and 7th with very few points separating the teams, an awkward ponio not wanting a
bridle on for the umptieth time proved to be our nemesis
But our Juniors and minis for the second year running are off to the pony club championships
at Off Church St Bury
Newsflash Shh I have it on good authority ( DC Meeting ) that next years venue for Area 4 BC horse care could
be held in the IOM
Please see our FB page for reports, results and pictures .
I hope the ones of you that are joining us for camp and are getting ready and just a  little
excited as we are 😊
Lots of prep going on behind the scenes, this takes place at the end of May
I am sure Becky Charlotte and Emma are planning  lots activities for you all .
Rustic camp dates are in the pony club diary for August at the Harriers Kennels
We look forward to our younger members attending this and growing in confidence
Pony Club racing is also on the agenda in May . Several members enjoyed this activity
in the last two years . There is a free training unmounted session in the morning of 12th
of May . Nelly will be representing us again in the races in the afternoon .
Good Luck Nelly
Ruth Hurley our contact is looking for volunteers if any of you are free on that Sunday
We are still getting to grips with the new website format and payment links so please bear
with us .
Lets all do a sunshine dance over the next few days/ weeks so that the ground dries up
and we can all have some fun and amazing pony club year
Regards
