October 2018 Rally Pumpkin Competition Winner  Ruby Baxendale

The Area 4 Blue cross Quiz was held in the Isle of Man In February 2018 and the junior team of Sarah Hoare, Pheobe Brophy and Jonty Whitehead went to represent the club. Following months of training and home revision we flew out to the Isle of Man. Arriving on the Friday evening we went for tea in a local eatery with some  revision then bed.  Up early the next morning, following  a cooked Irish breakfast and some last minute revision we set off  on our  way.  The members were a create to the club and we arrived with time to look around . 17 teams in the junior section 10 stations with questions on all aspects of horse care.  From fill a net with 2.5  kilos of hay, to putting a bandage on a polo pony’s tails so its read to compete. After the competiton back to the hotel and changed the out to the pictures to watch Jumanji with lots of popcorn. In the  evening the hosting Pony Club of the Isle of Man held a Irish Barn dance – Ceilidh, with supper at King Williams College. The announcement of the results and presentations followed the supper.    The junior team answered all the questions  and when the scores were added up they just missed out on a rosette with a very credible score. It was a pleasure to take this young team  and they all want to start training to be read to go and try again next year. Any one who would like  to be on next years team  please let us know . We can take two teams .

Well done Jonty Phoebe & Sarah.
