Pony Club National Championships 2026

We had three Ludlow members competing in the Pony Club Eventing national Championship.

Rohays Hird and her new horse Lux Lancer competed on the 90 cm individual championships.

We had Livvy Hathaway and Rosscon Mr X Man and Emily Walsh and Silver Rosemary in the 100cm championships. Both XC courses were extremely technical and caused a few problems on the day.

Rohays came a very impressive 14th place, well done to them!

Livvy and Rosco finished with a top ten placing in her section coming 8th! An amazing result from that wonderful pair. Sadly it wasn’t Emily’s and Rosemary’s day, Rosemary having picked up a small injury at Tet champs that was maybe worrying her more than we thought. Such an experienced team, they will be back as good as new next year.

It’s quite an achievement to qualify for main champs and we are extremely proud of all of you! Well done!

In the Dressage competition Zara Goodwin and Izzy Hathaway both qualified for the intermediate dressage and competed on the Wednesday. Both did super tests and finished mid section on a very warm day.

Ruby Higgins and Jack took on a huge class of dressage to music, the atmosphere was nothing like they’d competed in before (other music classes going on at the same time, jumping warm up and classes going on next door ) but Ruby showed huge amounts of maturity with how she coped with a spicy Jack. They produced a lovely test and everyone was proud of them finishing just out of the top ten even though only a couple of marks split the top riders.

Izzy then competed in her first open dressage to music which was a class jam packed with talent, Izzy and Queenie enjoyed their first attempt at dressage to music and finished a respectable 13th and are looking forward to more music classes.

Thursday – saw Izzy take on the Open class, their partnership is still relatively new at this level and although they were pleased with the performance again they weren’t placed.
