I’d like to be considered for Areas
Once you have read and understood the eligibility requirements and can confirm that you are able to represent the Ludlows, there are a couple of things you need to do!
- Fill in the “interested in areas form” and send it to the relevant team managers
- In May, team managers will meet with instructors and discuss members that have put themselves forward and if successful you will be contacted.
- Keep a record of all of the competitions that you attend (in your chosen discipline) including results so that your team manager can be sure that you are able to compete at that level.
- MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ATTENDED ENOUGH RALLIES TO BE INCLUDED! IF YOU ENTER AND HAVE NOT ATTENDED ENOUGH RALLIES YOUR TEAM MAY BE DISQUALIFIED
- Make sure you are available on the dates of the competitions and championships, in case of qualification.
Area Rules & Eligibility
Area competition is, for many members, the highlight of the PC calendar and a chance to compete as a team, with friends, in fabulous surroundings with the opportunity to qualify for Championships. Below is a list of information, you will need to familiarise yourself with if you are interested in competing.
ELIGIBILITY
All horses/ponies must have participated in a minimum of 3 working rallies since 1st July the previous year, one of which must be in the current year with a member of the Pony Club. All riders must have participated at a minimum of 3 working rallies of this or their previous branch since 1 July in the previous year (excluding team practices) and have been a member of the Pony Club since at least 31st January in the current year. Attendance at camp counts as one working rally. The 3 rallies are not allowed to be specific team training rallies and there have to be at least 21 days between the 1st and 3rd rallies for them to count.
