NAF Pony Club Regional Championships 2026
NAF Regional Championships at Kelsall Hill
What a fabulous weekend we all just had at the Kelsall Hill Regional Championships. We took the biggest squad of 20 Ludlow members to camp and had a wonderful time we had despite the torrential rain and lightening!
On Saturday we saw the PC80 grassroots championship for dressage. Our Ludlow team of Olivia Beaumont, Oscar Mathews, Olive Godwin and Ruby Higgins came 4th and Ruby gaining a podium position coming 3rd
It was very exciting to have Oscar and Alan win their section and reach the ride off, coming 7th overall in the Championship!
The 70cm showjumping was a tough full up course. Our team of Grace Windsor Clive, Erin Gwilliam, Olive Windsor Clive and Olivia Beaumont came team 10th and our Ludlow Commas team of Grace Windsor Clive, Cordelia Dearden, Florence Tilby and Edie Nolan came team 14th
On Sunday we had our PC70 dressage championship team of Olivia Beaumont on Bob and Mix up, Connie Targett on Scarlett and Ruby Higgins on Jack. They rode amazingly for 2nd place!
Olivia won her section on Bob and was 2nd in her other section on Mix up so qualified for the ride off on both her ponies placing 5th on Bob and 7th on Mix up in overall championship. Ruby was fourth on her lovely Jack in her section and Connie came 7th on beautiful Scarlett amazing for that new combination and Scarlett only five and at her first championship!
In the 80cm showjumping championships our team of Islay Craig Alliani, Oscar Morgan, Erin Gwilliam and Olivia Beaumont came 12th and our Ludlow Admirals team of Cordelia Dearden, Anya Smith , Nancy Potter and Izzy Archer Gwilliam came team 14th.
Sadly just a few rolled poles kept us out of the jump off for the individual placings.
On Monday came the Eventing. In the 70cm championship our team of Edie Nolan, Eva Crompton, Connie Targett and Grace Windsor Clive came team 4th.
Individually we had Eva Crompton 4th in her section, Connie Targett 7th in her section , Edie Nolan and Grace Windsor Clive 9th in their sections, Isla Hill 3rd in her section and Florence Tilby an amazing 2nd in her section with Sugar finishing on her dressage score of 29!
I’m the 80cm team competition our team of Izzy Archer Gwilliam, Nancy Potter and Olivia Beaumont came team 7th with Olivia individually 6th place with lovely mix up.
It was a really special weekend watching Ludlow members compete and the way the whole squad supported each other and cheered everyone on. Even when things didn’t quite go to plan, battling flooding stables, thunderstorms, Liv riding half her 80cm showjumping with one stirrup after the other fell off, and Olive calmly re-applying Fun’s bridle after it slipped off, we were so proud of you all and how you all pull together.
