Rally Dress Code

• Jodhpurs/breeches – Beige, Navy or Black
• Hat silks – plain black, navy or Mid Surrey branded Green Hat Silk
• Green Mid Surrey Sweatshirt over long-sleeved white shirt and Pony Club Tie
• Short boots and chaps or long riding boots
• Tagged riding hat. Hat rules for 2024 HERE
• Hair in hair net – long hair to be put in a bun with hairnet over the top
• Black, brown or navy gloves
• No jewellery – watch acceptable
• No hooded clothing

Body protector is compulsory for all XC; however it is recommended to always be worn. Important – Please see updated Body Protector rules for 2024 here.

Ponies must be clean and tidy. Tack must be well fitted and clean.

Remember to check your stirrup irons, there should be 14mm clearance either side of your boots.  Rules for stirrups are different for mounted games, so please check here that yours are compliant.

Grass reins and balanced support reins must be fitted as shown HERE.

 

 

Competition Dress Code

Correct dress at competitions

• Beige jodhpurs/breeches
• Tweed jacket with white collared shirt and PC tie or stock shirt and MSPC stock for eventing
or
• Black/navy jacket with white collared shirt and PC tie or stock shirt and white/cream stock
• Tagged riding hat. Hat rules for 2024 HERE
• Short boots and chaps or long riding boots
• Hair in hairnet with PC scrunchie – long hair in a bun with hairnet over the top
• Dark gloves to match jacket or white/black for dressage
• Black or navy hat silk to match jacket
• PC badge with appropriate felt (essential for all competitions)
• Body protectors are compulsory for XC and recommended for all other disciplines – see new 2024 rules here
• MSPC green baselayer and hat silk for XC and tetrathlon

Ponies must be clean and tidy with well fitting, clean tack and green MSPC saddlecloth. Ponies should also be plaited.
