RALLIES
Rallies are the backbone of the Pony Club, providing members with mounted (‘working rally’) or un-mounted lessons from qualified instructors, free of charge. Their aim is to improve your riding, knowledge and stable management. Rallies are great fun and a wonderful way to get to know your fellow members in a relaxed environment.
Mid Surrey rallies take place during the school holidays at the Pony Club field and can sometimes include working towards a Pony Club Badge or Test. All rallies are fully inclusive (according to the criteria on the rally form) and members are grouped by age and ability.
The rally dates, information and forms are now available to all members via our new online system https://midsurreypc.entrymaster.online and details can also be found in the drop down menu of the Events Calendar, along with the relevant documentation and point of contact.
If you wish to be considered for an Area Team, you and your pony must attend at least 3 working rallies each year. Please see Tack & Turnout for information on what you are required to wear to rallies and please do contact the Rally Organiser if you have any questions.
CAMPS
The unequivocal highlight and a glorious time of year to be having fun with your ponies and camping down with like-minded members for a fun-filled few days! Pony Club Camp is both enormously enjoyable and provides a wealth of opportunity, learning and shared experiences.
Mid Surrey hold two camps every summer: Mini (8 years and younger), staying 3 nights in our barn and Junior/Senior (9 years and older), pitching tents at an external venue for 5 nights, with ponies/horses in portable stables. Everything is provided including training, food and evening activities and members come away as more knowledgable and better riders.
The Branch Secretary will contact members when camp dates are released and will provide all the booking forms, requirements and information necessary. Details can also be found in the Events Calendar. If for any reason you wish to attend camp, but have a problem or query, please contact the District Commissioner or the Branch Secretary in confidence.
VACCINATIONS Horses and ponies attending any rally or camp must have a valid passport and vaccination record. These should accompany the horse or pony and be available for inspection by officials on request. Annual vaccinations are required for Mid Surrey rallies and camps.
