Area 9 Competition Rules and Regulations

Area 9 consists of Branches and Centres across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. Events, Schedules and results can be found here.

 

Forthcoming Competitions

  • All forthcoming competitions in Area 9 can be viewed on the Area 9 website https://branches.pcuk.org/area9/disciplines-and-dates/
  • Rules – when competing please familiarise yourselves with the Pony Club Rules (2022) for each discipline, which can be viewed using this link https://pcuk.org/officials/rulebooks/
  • New Whip Rule – please be aware of New Whip Rule for 2022 which applies to all disciplines – details can be found on the MPC Members Facebook page
  • Vaccinations – you will also need to make sure that you horse/pony is up to date with their equine influenza vaccinations and that the correct procedure was followed from the beginning, details can be viewed using this link https://pcuk.org/media/eibpycgm/the-pony-club-vaccination-rule-v22-1-1.pdf
  • Passports – remember that your horse/ponies passport MUST accompany it to all competitions and when ever it is in transit

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON VACCINATIONS AND PASSPORTS***
At Area and Championship levels Pony Club now require all horses/ponies vaccinations to be in line with BEF and British Eventing guidelines, this means horses & ponies competing at any of the competitions listed below must have had an Equine Influenza Vaccination within the previous 6 months of the date of the competition, but with at least 6 clear days since the last inoculation and all previous vaccinations must be with in the stipulated dates – see attached document. The horses passport and vaccination record MUST accompany the the horse/pony to all events and will be inspected, any horses not complying with the guidelines will not be allowed onto the show grounds.
