Minch @ the National Championships

90cm Team Show Jumping Championships
We then had our 90cm Showjumping team including Jess C, Katie F, Tabitha C and Livvy A. They all kept their cool throughout their rounds to finish on an overall team score of 8 to secure Minchinhampton 4th place out of 53 teams! With Katie and Livvy being 2 of only 17 double clears out of 200+ competitors. For a very small club we are very impressed to have only been a few seconds away from being on the podium.

100cm Team Show Jumping Championships
Next up we had Livvy A and Jess C compete in a mixed team for the 100cm showjumping on their second rides. Unfortunately one of their team mates withdrew and the other had an unfortunate fall meaning their team were out of the competition. However they both managed to do 2 lovely showjump rounds with Livvy finishing on 4 faults and Jess on 12 faults.

Open Dressage Championships
Aimee R then competed in the Open Dressage Championship as an individual and produced a lovely smart test for a PB and 12th place.
A huge well done to every single one of our members who competed, it’s a big championship environment and we are so proud of you all. We hope to see many Minchinhampton pony club members back there next year.

Tetrathlon Championships
To start the week off, we had Betsy H, Clara S and Jasper S all competing in the Tetrathlon. Betsy competed in the Intermediate girls, Clara competed in the Junior girls and Jasper competed in the Junior boys. They all did exceptionally well in all 4 phases, however no placings this time round.
