Our Branch is led by our District Commissioner helped by our Committee, made up of volunteers, who are parents, relatives and friends of our members. We have a fantastic team who dedicate an enormous amount of their time to making everything happen in the branch. Sue Stevenson

Chief Instructor
Sue Stevenson, our Chief Instructor, brings decades of equestrian expertise to our branch. Her journey from a non-equestrian family to a seasoned professional exemplifies passion and dedication. Sue now enjoys her work as a freelance instructor and BHS Assessor with years of invaluable experience. Her commitment to education is underscored by qualifications such as CertEd, BHS Stage 4 Coach, and Stage 5 SM. Sue’s aim is to help members enjoy their riding while fostering strong partnerships with their ponies and horses. We love her dynamic and fun-filled approach to equestrian education.

Roland Bellido

Instructor
Roland Bellido, originally from Tenerife, began his equestrian journey in the UK in 1999 at Wellington Riding. After gaining his BHSAI qualification, he taught internationally in Dubai and Tenerife before returning to the UK. Now a BHSII SC freelance instructor with a passion for teaching, Roland runs fun and constructive training for our members.

Becky Tooley

Instructor
Becky Tooley’s journey with the NFHPC began nearly 20 years ago with her children. While her sons excelled in Tetrathlon, her daughter, Peggy, embraces all team disciplines, focusing on Eventing representing South West England as part of the BE100 U18 team. Becky’s lifelong dream of horse ownership came true at 21 with ‘Willard,’ her ex-racehorse. Balancing her equestrian passion with her career as a Chartered Accountant, she competes regularly and enjoys teaching riders of all levels, helping members foster happy partnerships with their horses.

Ines Mitchell

Instructor
Ines Mitchell, a dedicated member of NFHPC, immerses herself in all aspects of Pony Club activities. With coaching qualifications acquired in 2020 and the prestigious A Test under her belt, she passionately instructs fellow members. Currently pursuing Veterinary Medicine at Nottingham, she enjoys coaching during her holidays. Ines says her highlights are the summer camps, full of smiles and laughter, and she takes great pleasure in working with all ages and abilities, helping partnerships to flourish. Alongside instructing, Ines competes regularly and produces ponies.

Hazel El Hakim, an enthusiastic and dedicated instructor from The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy, brings her passion and expertise to our club. With a background in equine facilitated education, social care, and therapy, she enriches the lives of young people and adults with diverse needs. Her involvement extends to her own children, who actively participate in club activities and regularly represent our club at area, regional, and national competitions, embodying the spirit of our community.

Amanda Barton

Instructor
Amanda Barton, NFHPC member since 2010, both as a parent and then as a coach, relishes the club’s camaraderie and diverse activities. As a Pony Club National Endurance Committee member, she runs grassroots training at national level. With BHS Accredited Professional Coach and UKCCL2 qualifications, Amanda coaches riders of all ages. Her expertise spans Equine Endurance, groundwork, and equine sports massage therapy, enhancing horse and rider experiences and bringing horses back into work after injury. Amanda is the owner of Tilefield Equestrian in Brockenhurst where some of our NFHPC rallies are held.
