Sports – Rally Programme

At New Forest Hunts, we aim to create opportunities for our children (and parents) to meet likeminded friends, improve their riding, increase their knowledge of horsemanship, and have a good deal of fun!

We offer regular rallies and training sessions for a variety of equestrian sports including:

Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Tetrathlon, Mounted Games, Endurance, Pony Racing, and Polo.

Competing

There are competitions throughout the year in all sports, held across Area 14 for those who enjoy competing. A few of our children will go on to represent New Forest Hunts and Area 14 at Pony Club Regionals and National Championships held every summer.

Team Training

Being part of a team is great fun and a fantastic way to make new friendships and learn from one another. We foster a strong team spirit, encouraging riders to support each other, whether it’s through offering encouragement or being on the receiving end.

We like everyone to have fun and take pride in representing our pony club branch at every level.

At New Forest Hunts our teams come together and train regularly in preparation for getting out competing across different sports including Eventing, Dressage, Show Jumping, & Tetrathalon.

The Coaches and Instructors work together with our Sports Managers to arrange rallies and team training throughout the year in all disciplines for all levels.

Tests & Achievement Badges

We offer a wide range of training and activities which can lead to members taking their different level Pony Club Tests.

The Pony Club Test structure is a pathway that encourages members to learn progressively. Each test covers riding and horse care, to help riders develop their skills and learn how to care for their horses. When you pass a test you are awarded a certificate and a coloured, circular felt which sits behind your Pony Club badge.

The test structure starts with E test at a minimum age of 4 and works up to A, which members can take up to the age of 25.

More information on all test levels can be found here…

Summer Camps

We host summer camps; day camps for minis and juniors, and residential camps for seniors. These are held during the holidays and are always a highlight for our members.

Check out our latest news for information about this year’s camps – Easter Eventing Camp, Mini & Junior Summer Camp, and Summer Camp for Seniors.
