South West Regional Championships Round Up

The New Forest Hunts Pony Club (NFHPC) made a remarkable impact at the South West Regional Championships on 24th / 25th August 2024, in Bicton. Sending a representation of twelve talented members, the club showcased its strength across dressage, show jumping, and eventing disciplines, demonstrating the dedication and skill of our young riders.

Dressage Highlights:

In the 70 Individual category, Flo delivered a commendable performance, placing 6th in her arena. The strong 80 team, featuring Liv, Freya, Beatrice-Rose, and Charlotte, all produced impressive tests resulting in a team 3rd place. Liv rode an exceptional test, winning her section, and Freya secured a respectable 6th place.

Show Jumping Success:

Our enthusiastic 70 team, comprising Flo, Floss, Lottie, and Lily, achieved 5th place thanks to their superb rounds. Lucy, competing as an individual, rode brilliantly, finishing with a clear round and an unlucky four faults – a fabulous debut championship for this partnership. Lottie attained individual success with a 9th place finish, while Floss’s fast triple clear earned her an impressive 2nd place in a fiercely competitive field. In the 80 show jumping category, Liv excelled individually, and our team—Polly, Freya, Ella, and Charlotte—secured a podium finish in 3rd place. Polly rode the jump-off, earning a well-deserved 8th place.

Eventing Achievements:

The 80 eventing category saw Phoebe, Liv, and Freya facing a challenging technical course. Phoebe rode brilliantly across all phases, finishing with a delightful clear cross-country run and securing an 8th place individual finish.

A big thank you goes out to the parents, managers, and coaches whose unwavering support has brought our members to this point. It is great to see everyone’s hard work paying off.
