Springing to Success

Area 14 Horse and Pony Care Qualifier

On Sunday 27th April, New Forest hosted the Area 14 Horse and Pony Care qualifier for the 2025 National Championships.

Held at the beautiful Walhampton School stable yard, the event welcomed teams from RA, Wylye Valley, and Blackmore & Sparkford Vale, all eager to showcase their knowledge and skills.

Teams put their knowledge to the test across a range of equine-focused topics. From identifying poisonous plants and understanding dental health to mastering perfect turnout, evaluating conformation, and applying first aid knowledge. All the teams gave it their best.

It was inspiring to see how much effort each team put in, resulting in some very tight scores. New Forest qualified three teams for this year’s National Championships.
