Branch Day at Lessans Livery Yard – 15th November

This was our very first Branch Day — and hopefully the first of many to come! We were thrilled to welcome over 70 members, helpers, instructors, parents, and friends for a fun-filled day packed with activities both on and off the ponies.

The day kicked off with an on-foot team challenge, with teams of four mixing some of our most experienced members with some of our very youngest. Teams battled their way through a series of stations that tested everything from pony knowledge in our Mini Quiz Corner, to agility in the Polocrosse zone, to precision in Tetrathlon target practice. The scores were incredibly close, but Team Yellow (Molly Reid, Phoebe Andrews, Sienna Bell and Eirin Wardle) claimed the win, followed by Team Black (Charlotte Muir, Evan Irvine, Tilly Jones and Zara Barlow) in second, and Team White (Tilly Ham, Isla Jennings, Lucy Thursfield and Evie Thompson) in third.

After that, everyone headed into their rides for a packed schedule:

 • Riding lessons with Lynne Tennis

 • The Feeding Badge with Ellyrose Dixon

 • Hobby Horse Mounted Games with Rachel Robertson

Meanwhile, our on-foot participants worked their way through a series of stable management challenges with Angela Fynn to crack the mystery lock puzzle! There was just enough time for a hot chocolate and a bun before diving back into the fun.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, new members, and even potential future members joining in. We’re already looking forward to running more days like this! A huge thank-you goes to our amazing YELA volunteers — Charlotte, Caitlyn, Freya, Rachel, Holly, Sophie, Kerry, Zara, Jennifer, Abbey, Bailey and Ashleigh — as well as our brilliant instructors Lynne, Angela, Rachel and Ellyrose, and all the parents who gave up their Saturday morning to help make the day such a success
