Team Selection for Area Competitions
Teams are selected by Instructor and Discipline Head and authorised and confirmed by DC.  The decisions are made based on the following information:
  • Commitment to travelling if Team Qualify – this information is gathered in the ‘Expression of Interest’ form sent out in the run up to Area Competitions – this must be completed by all members aiming to compete
  • Attendance at Rallies & Training – we expect members who wish to represent their branch to be committed members who have attended regular rallies and training. With a minimum of 3 rallies and a minimum of 3 training sessions in the run up to the Area Competition to ensure that we can make well informed and fair decisions on team selection
  • Performance at level aiming to compete at. Instructors/ Discipline Heads will monitor ability and performance to ensure that members are competent and safe to compete at their chosen level
  • There may be occasions where a member is asked to compete at a higher or lower level to make up and strengthen a team
