Biffy Booth

District Commissioner
I’m proud to have grown up through North Down Pony Club, from grassroots rider to instructor and now a Pony Club mum. The branch has shaped my confidence, friendships and love for horses, and I’m passionate about giving back. As District Commissioner, I support our members and committee, ensure we meet PCUK standards and oversee tests. My vision is to build a welcoming, inclusive branch that encourages every rider to grow in confidence, skills and opportunity.

Danai Poulidi

Assistant DC
I’m delighted to be the Branch Assistant DC for North Down Pony Club. By day I’m a Senior Lecturer at Queen’s University, but much of my time is happily spent as a Pony Club mum to Jenny and Lucy, and helping out in every way I can. North Down has truly become our second family, bringing us friendships, laughter and unforgettable memories. I’m passionate about supporting our members and committee as we continue to grow a welcoming, fun and supportive branch for everyone.

Carolyn Muir

Safeguarding Officer
I recently joined the North Down Committee in a safeguarding role, bringing over 15 years’ experience working in Primary Care and supporting the wellbeing of children and adults. My daughter Charlotte joined North Down Pony Club in 2023, and it has been wonderful to see the confidence, friendships and happiness horses have brought into her life. Seeing how much the branch has given her inspired me to give back, and I’m proud to help ensure North Down remains a safe, supportive and welcoming place for every member and family.

Lynne Tennis

Health and Safety Officer
My Pony Club journey began at age four and has shaped a lifelong passion for horses, from my first cheeky Shetland to competing at Dublin Horse Show and bringing on young horses to success. I’ve coached since I was 15 and joined North Down Pony Club in 2007, supporting members across showjumping, dressage, XC and tests. Now as Branch Health & Safety Officer, I’m proud to help create safe, positive experiences for every rider — and to watch the next generation, including my daughter Erin, enjoy the same journey.

Zara Wardle

Tetrathlon Lead
I am a mum of 2 who seems to be collecting ponies as a hobby! I have been a PC mum for 5 years now. I spent most of my childhood in North Down Pony Club. Competing in all disciplines. Tetrathlon was a big part of my pony club journey. We competed throughout the UK for many years. Making lifelong memories and friends from other clubs. I would love to build a big tetrathlon community within North Down as it is a fantastic discipline which includes the whole family. If you would like any more information regarding tetrathlon please get in touch.

Angela Fynn

Polocrosse Lead & Junior Instructors Co-Ordinator
I was a North Down Pony Club Member as a child and went on to teach at Camps and Rallies in my early twenties. When my sons joined the North Down, I became more involved and joined the Committee. I have experience of Pony Club Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Tetrathlon, Polo and even a bit of Pony Racing. My 2 sons finished Pony Club years ago, having a ball at Pony Club Polocrosse, and that is how I became Area 17 Polocrosse Coordinator. I am a British Horse Society Stage 4 Senior Coach in Complete Horsemanship and a Pony Club Assessor. I keep up to date with all things Pony Club and believe that our members benefit greatly in life from the lasting friendships they make through Pony Club activities and the bonds they form while learning to care for their ponies and horses.

Rachel Robertson

Games Lead & Juniors Co-Ordinator
I have been the games representative on North Down Pony Club committee since 2024. I also organise some of the junior lessons and activities. I started riding at a young age and got my first pony when I was 10 years old. I still enjoy breaking and training horses and breed Irish Draughts and Irish sport horses. I am also a Veterinary Surgeon and enjoy teaching members in anatomy and physiology when possible. I am looking forward to North Down PC hosting the 2026 area games and hope to see as many members as possible out representing our club.
