Horsemanship is a term recently adopted by The Pony club to cover unmounted competitions with the exception of Winter Triathlon.

The Blue Cross Horse & Pony Care Competition
We are fortunate enough to have regular practical and theory rallies with Georgie Dickinson to prepare for these competitions, members cover lots of badge and tests syllabuses in the process, often gain badges whilst learning and having lots of fun. Rallies are aimed at those competing in the competitions but opened to all if space allows.
In 2026 we are sending 5 teams to the Area Quiz and 3 to the Area Horse and Pony Care Competition.
The Quiz is fun friendly and appropriate for members of all ages. The Horse & Pony Care competition is more practical and suitable for members aged 7 upwards. The Art competition is free to enter and open to all members.
Our Branch Teams have Won the Area 9 Horse and Pony Care Competition qualifying for and competing at The JCB National Championships and been placed in the Area Quiz in recent years.
