No member is expected to arrive at rallies with a full wardrobe of branded kit, but we do encourage our members to dress accordingly to promote team spirit and a sense of belonging, a main ethos of the Pony Club.
Tagged helmets to the current standard must be worn when mounted at all times. Click for information regarding Pony Club Hat Standards
Hats with a fixed peak can not be used for mounted games, pony racing or cross country activities, including arena eventing.
Hat covers must be navy blue, or Branch cross country colours.
Body protectors to the current 2018 standard are mandatory for all cross country, including arena eventing, and pony racing activities.
All long hair must be tied up as securely as possible.
Spurs can only be worn if you have passed your C+ or a Spurs Test and have a yellow tag on your hat.
North Herefordshire branded t-shirts, base layers, sweaters and coats are available from our suppliers. Plain coloured navy blue clothing is acceptable, and preferable over other dark plain colours.
Hoods/hoodies of any description are not acceptable at any time whilst mounted.
Cream/beige, navy and black are preferred over other solid dark coloured breeches and jodphurs.
No Jewellery of any type or variation to be worn at any rallies or competitions.
Only standard riding or jodhpur boots (black or brown) with a fairly smooth, thin sole and a well defined square cut heel may be worn.
Plain black or brown half chaps may be worn, tassels and fringes are not allowed.
Gloves are advised for all riding activities apart from mounted games, black, brown or navy blue are preferable.
