Branch competitions

Throughout the year North Staffordshire Hunt Pony Club will run branch competitions.  These are for every member to come and have fun together.

You can book for these events through our events calendar:

and Horse Events https://www.horse-events.co.uk/pony-club-rallies/

Interbranch competitions

Interbranch competitions are organised by a branch of Pony Club and are open to all pony club members, and occasionally non pony club members.  Local ones to our branch include show jumping/mounted games at Rodbaston and are usually organised by neighbouring branches such as North Shropshire, Albrighton, the Meynell and more.

Information about these competitions will be in our calendar and are open to all members.

Members should inform Natalie Massey once they have entered an interbranch competition so she can create teams.

Area Competitions

Area competitions are qualifying events for the main Pony Club Championships and Regional Championships.

Area competitions are held in each of the 19 Pony Club Areas (North Staffs are Area 7) and there are various levels and disciplines with which to compete based on ability and eligibility.

It is possible to qualify both in teams and as individuals in the majority of disciplines.

Some events don’t require qualification such as the musical ride and the fun ride.

There are also non-riding competitions such as the National Quiz and Horse and Pony Care qualifier.

If you wish to be considered for Area Competitions, please let Natalie Massey know. All those who have expressed an interest will be considered based on team requirements. You will be informed and invited to training sessions if successful.

Successful qualification at the Area competitions then lead onto the Regional and National Championships.
