More Information about Senior Camp

The stables are all together next to the Camp field.

  • All of your food is provided, as is hay and straw for your pony.
  • We will be camping, so you will need to provide your own sleeping accommodation. This might be a caravan, tent or horsebox. We will ask you nearer the time about this and who you will be sharing with. (If you are new, we will help with putting people together).
  • Senior camp is open to all members 11 years and up (aimed at those members who have usually been away from home without their parents in School Year 6). However, if you feel your 10 year old is a competent rider and probably more importantly able to cope with the whole camp experience i.e. sharing accommodation with their peers, caring for themselves and their ponies needs (under our watchful eye of course) then please contact the Camp Team who will consider each individual case.
  • Ponies and members arrive on the Wednesday morning and will have an assessment ride in the morning, followed by another ride in the afternoon. Then there are usually two riding sessions per day, plus evening entertainment. Parents come in to camp on the Sunday to help pack everything up.
  • There will be a number of coaches/volunteers on site 24/7 who will all have the required DBS checks and safeguarding training. First aiders are also present 24/7.
  • All members will get rosettes and a prize – and camp is lots of fun!

More Information about Junior Camp

You can choose to come for 4 days or 2 days.

There will be morning and afternoon rides plus stable management.

Lunch is provided for the rider and accompanying adult in the marquee, where you will also be able to join the older campers.

Arrive in the morning and leave again around 4pm each day.

Ponies may stay over at additional cost and coaches/older members can put in feed/check on them at evening stables, or you can just bring them in and out each day.

Please note that for non-residential camp, a parent is required to be in attendance for the duration.

Everyone will get a rosette – but most of all camp is lots of fun!
