Welcome To The Rockwood Harriers Branch Of The Pony Club

The branch was established in the 1930’s and is part of Pony Club Area 3. Our members come from Wakefield in the north to Sheffield in the south and the M62 in the west. If you or your pony live in the area and you are thinking about joining the Pony Club but want to know more, please give a member of our Committee a call. You can find details of how to become a member on our membership page.

Currently we have over 90 members whose ages range from 3 to 25. We offer a wide range of activities including introductory rallies, mounted games, polocrosse, show jumping, dressage and cross country (see our disciplines page for more information). We encourage our members to represent RHPC at the various Pony Club events and competitions that take place throughout the year. We also offer a range of un-mounted activities, including un-mounted trips to places of interest for members and their families. Last but not least we provide training and support should our members wish to work towards obtaining the Pony Club Efficiency Tests or achievement badges. Above all we want our members to have fun!

RHPC hosts 3 summer camps to suit all agers and experience, for many of our members this is the highlight of their year. We also hold a winter show jumping competition and host the Area 3 horse and pony care competition. Our calendar and events page contains dates and times for forthcoming rallies and events. For details of how to book a rally please refer to our rallies page.

Each year at our Presentation Evening we come together to celebrate our member’s achievements. We also have a members Facebook page and email updates to keep our members up to date. We are always keen to hear news about our members and encourage them to send in their articles, photos and competition results. Please forward them to our Facebook page

The Committee are always on hand to help and assist with any queries. All contact details can be found on our Committee page. We hope that you find the information in the RHPC website useful.

Welcome to our branch.
