Yesterday we had a junior and senior team head over to Kelsall for the East Cheshire friendly competition.
Juniors – Ebony, Hattie, Poppy, Olliarnah and guest rider Emmie absolutely rode their socks off during the heats to earn a place in the A Final – a fantastic achievement while we are on winter break from training! Showing great team work, cheering each other on, tackling 3 brand new untrained races they finished a very well deserved 2nd 🎉
Seniors – Holly, Jacob, Darcy, Darcey and Olliarnah as 5th man went out as a brand new team and absolutely held their own. Again the Rockwood team spirit shined through, both in the warm up arena (hey macarena was the song of choice yesterday 🤣), and in the main ring where every single rider supported and cheered for each other. Tackling 4 new races they pushed right to the end and finished 3rd in the B Final.
A brilliant start to the 2026 season which didn’t go unnoticed by the organisers who commented how well the Rockwood teams have improved 🩵💙🐇💙🩵

7:45 for seniors

Dark Jodphurs/Tops/PC Jumper
NO hoodies/jewellery/mobile phones
Hair to be tied up and hairnets worn
Clean and presentable ponies and tack

We have an exciting announcement….The Rockwood Mounted Games WEEKEND is BACK!!!!! Put the date in your diaries – 27th & 28th June. We’re looking forward to making the event as memorable as it’s been in previous years, and hope to see lots of support from Rockwood members.
