Welcome to our Branch
Our branch, South Hertfordshire & West Middlesex, is small, welcoming, and fully inclusive. We were established in 1965 and are part of Pony Club Area 12. Our members come from north of Harpenden, east to beyond Enfield, south to Hammersmith and west to Watford. We are a small branch, currently 33 members and growing, whose ages range from 4 to 20.
At SHWMPC we offer a wide range of activities including introductory rallies, show jumping, dressage and cross country and encourage our members to represent SHWMPC at the various Pony Club events and competitions that take place throughout the year. We are currently running most of our rallies in groups according to ability and age. We have a lovely new group on lead rein and just off lead rein children. Please contact us if this is something that interests you.
As a club we also offer a range of un-mounted activities too, including un-mounted games and trips to places of interest. Last but not least we provide training and support should our members wish to work towards obtaining the Pony Club Efficiency Tests, or achievement badges.
Above all we want our members to have fun! Rallies are open to all ages and abilities from lead rein to pony club championships from happy hackers to keen competitors there is something for everyone.
There will also be some fun rallies especially during the summer when the members have a go at gymkhana games or may be go on a picnic ride.
Our annual camp is at Bury Farm and is also open to all members.

Each year at our AGM we come together to celebrate our members achievements. We keep our members up to date with regular newsletters and email updates.
We are always keen to hear news about our members and encourage them to send in their articles, photos and competition results. Please forward them to Sian Parker at southhertfordshire@pcuk.org or post on our WhatsApp Group.
Our Pony Pals- On and Just off the Lead Rein
Our newest members to the branch. We now have a group of lead rein and non lead rein children. They have all made huge progress since coming to us.
Show Jumping
We are lucky enough to have access to a full set of jumps for the arena and in the summer we use our jumping paddocks.
Bury Farm’s Annual Camp
The Highlight – the best time of the year for our pony clubbers is our five day camp at Bury Farm. We get to use the most amazing facilities, fantastic instructors and the best bit, friends and ponies hanging out. Cross Country
We had a great time at Berwick Farm cross country. The children were split into groups according to ability. A great day was had by all.
Individual and Team Shows
At SHWMPC we try and encourage all our members to get out and support as many shows as possible. This is a good opportunity to put into practice everything they’ve learnt and have been working on at the club. We had a great day at Whaddon Chase PC Show, coming home with lots of wins and rosettes.
Christmas Fun Rally
We love a bit of Christmas fancy dress. Every year we have our Christmas fun rally, we dress up, play games and have a bbq.
