Welcome to South Norfolk

Welcome to the website of the South Norfolk Pony Club. We are a friendly, all-inclusive branch offering a wide range of opportunities to our members. The South Norfolk was established in 1935 and is part of Area 8 – which covers Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridge.

Our members range in age from 4 to 24 years, and are based across South Norfolk and the Border area with North Suffolk. We offer a wide range of rallies and events for all our members– covering all skill levels from Lead rein – Senior providing appropriate training for Horsecare, Dressage, Showjumping, Cross country, Mounted Games and other pony club activities at a variety of venues.

There are so many opportunities within Pony Club – whether you would like to take part in the Area Quiz, Endurance or Pony Racing, dream of competing at the Spring Festival or the Summer Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage or Tetrathlon Championships.  You might like to develop your coaching skills or through YELA add depth to your CV through volunteering.  We actively encourage and support all members towards their goals and ambitions.

We aim to fulfill the objectives laid out by The Pony Club itself:

* To promote and advance the education and understanding of the public and particularly children and young people, in all matters relating to horsemanship and the horse.

* To encourage the development of sportsmanship, unlocking potential by building resilience, confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.

* To support and develop the volunteering network to strengthen The Pony Club community and sustain life-long engagement with equestrianism

If you would like to be a part of our club, or would like any further information, please feel free to make contact with the relevant committee member from the contacts page.

As with all branches, we can operate only with the kind help of volunteers – if you feel you could help, in any capacity, you will be much appreciated – please feel free to get in touch.
