Introducing South Notts

We are a friendly branch with around 155 members aged between 3 and 25.

Riding members.  If you own or can borrow a pony we offer dressage, showjumping, eventing, mounted games,  tetrathlon, arena eventing and we compete in the Pony Club hacking challenge.  We have a pony racing member and a thriving group of mini riders on and just off lead rein.  There are regular confidence clinics where members can learn jumping and flatwork in small groups.  We run a musical ride, music pairs and individual dressage to music.   There are two summer camps each year – a residential camp for seniors and a non residential camp for juniors.

Non riding members.  If you don’t own or loan a pony we offer training and competitions in horse and pony care, triathlons (shooting, running and swimming), the Pony Club quiz and there is also an annual Art competition.

Volunteers.  Older members, past members, parents and the branch committee all volunteer to support the club.  Older members can complete the Young Equestrian Leader Award, starting at bronze level and culminating in the gold award, presented by the chairman of the Pony Club at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Everyone is encouraged to learn as much as possible about pony care and welfare whilst having fun with their friends.

Want to join?

We offer a free trial flatwork lesson so that you can see what happens at a rally.   If that sounds a bit daunting you can come on foot to any of our events to meet everyone first.
