Mounted Games at South Notts

Mounted games is often the part of Pony Club that creates the fondest memories.  Today a number of Pony Club Novice and Senior teams and pairs competed against each other just for the fun of it, winning well deserved rosettes and Easter Eggs.  The weather helped us out over the last couple of weeks and the grass was dry enough for us to ride in a lovely field at Shelford.

We’re proud of all the riders but even more proud of Poppy Hanson Moore, one of our members, who volunteered to  organise this competition as part of her Gold Young Equestrian Leader award.  She’s so nearly completed her award, and when she does she’ll receive it at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

YELA is a fantastic part of Pony Club, helping young people to learn skills, develop confidence and understand the huge effort that goes into the events that Pony Club run for their benefit.
