Had a good weekend?

South Notts had a busy one celebrating many firsts – not the blue rosette kind – but we just love it when lots of our members do something for the very first time.

Our quiz team qualified and competed at the National finals for the first time, including Amelia and Tallulah who are very new to this type of competition.   Tallulah also managed to fit in a dressage test beforehand to gain more points for the Bloomfields Winter League, along with our tiny rider Tilly.  She’s about to win the Lead Rein Walk and Trot Bloomfields Winter Dressage league, that is a first for the branch!

New member Martha rode her first one day event representing South Notts and finished on her dressage score, together with seasoned member Jess who rode her much longed for new pony at their first one day event.

Sam, one of our non riding members, completed his first mini achievement badge, Basic needs of a pony in summer and winter so he’ll be trying to borrow his sister’s pony soon!  And Ava completed her first Achievement Badge, tackling the tricky subject of Lorinery.   Pony Club definitely expands horizons for members and their families too.  Fun, friendship, horsemanship, sport and a well deserved rest afterwards for ponies and riders.
