Prepare. Compete. Rest. Repeat.

The Pony Club year has its own rhythm, and July is all about qualifying competitions for our more experienced riders.  Every weekend sees a different sport holding an area qualifier – games, dressage, showjumping, eventing and tetrathlon riders all compete for places at the Pony Club Championships or at the Regional Finals for the slightly lower levels.

Representing a Pony Club branch at an area competition is a huge deal – usually riders are in a team with other branch members so there is a lot of camaraderie and mutual support, for children and for their parents! They are helped by the branch committee member leading their sport often with a coach, and our DC Jane goes to every single competition.   There are delights and disappointments, but we are so proud of our riders who represented South Notts this year.

It has been a vintage year for the branch, with riders qualifying for championships in games, dressage, showjumping, eventing and tetrathlon this year.
