The oldest and the youngest
Pony Club welcomes everyone from a very young age up till their 26th birthday. We celebrate the full age range in South Notts as the pictures show! Next year we will be saying goodbye to Meg as she turns 26 in the summer. She joined us 23 years ago, aged 2, and during that time has done more or less everything. She has all but one of the badges (we’re working on the last one), she’s been to the championships on two of her horses and on a last minute borrowed horse too, with her winning team celebrated in Horse and Hound. She’s represented Pony Club internationally, received an individual award for Horse and Pony care at the championships, and now chairs the Youth Committee. She also coaches our younger children. How many of our youngest members will follow in her footsteps? So much potential … and such cute outfits. Watching these children progress is one of the great joys of volunteering for Pony Club.
