Why we do Triathlon

Image

Swimming, running and shooting

Triathlons happen over the winter, in the worst of the weather usually, where children run either on a track or a field, swim lengths in a pool and shoot at targets, or the younger children throw beanbags.    Triathlons develop fitness and stamina but most of all they build friendships and resilience across all age groups.

In the summer a riding section is added where the children and ponies tackle cross country fences, gates and slip rails.

Triathlon is for everyone!

Melissa is one of our younger members.  Her mum summed up Triathlon in this fabulous Facebook post.

Along with many of our other members, Melissa is competing in the Area 6 Winter League, sponsored by Bloomfields Horseboxes

Ages range from 5 to seniors competing at open, and you don’t need a pony!
