Winning and not winning
Although it looks a bit stark, these are the only possible outcomes if you choose to compete your pony. At South Notts we will encourage you enter competitions but it is about so much more than winning. Competitions teach you to do your best under pressure, they help you to measure progress and also have fun with your friends. South Notts has had an incredible summer: Championships at Offchurch Bury; Regionals at Aston le Walls; showjumping at Burghley and finally the mini Championships at Eagle Moor. The whole age range of South Notts Pony Club has had a blast, from tiny Albert aged 4 winning the Mini Championship lead rein ODE to our brilliant Dressage to Music team featuring in Horse and Hound including our oldest member Meg. Conor qualified for the Mini Major at the London International Horse Show and our Burghley SJ team were runners up in a huge competition on a huge stage. Grace has waited a long time to win a sash and then won two at the Regionals! The branch celebrated Area 6 league wins too, with Izzy winning the 1m eventing and Bea winning the Open Dressage. And so many more. Everyone who has represented us this year – congratulations! We are proud of you and I hope you were proud to represent South Notts.
