Friday badge rallies – you’ll learn about a particular aspect of horse and pony care and if you do well, you’ll be rewarded with a badge!

Triathlon. Over the winter you can take part in triathlon competitions. You run, swim and shoot at targets, or younger children throw beanbags to score points. We train at a local gun club for the shoot and encourage children to practice running and swimming too. Triathlons are very sociable events and are a great way to make friends and keep fit.

Non members are also welcome to join our many social activities – pool parties, BBQs and trips.

YELA. If you are 13 or over you can start your Young Equestrian Leaders Award, this rewards volunteering at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Gold YELA holders receive their award at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Horse and Pony Care competitions.

These test your pony knowledge and skills: competitions start informally building up to area, national and international championships. Some questions are theoretical, some involve practical skills tested on a pony provided at the competition. We run training for these competitions during the year.
Quiz. This is an indoor test of your horse and pony knowledge, again in teams. All the badge training is so useful!
