  • Ribbons – A red ribbon may be put in a horse’s tail as a warning that the horse kicks, please give such a horse plenty of space to avoid any accidents. A green ribbon also warns of a young, inexperienced horse.
  • Tack Condition – Please keep checking the fit and condition of your ponies’ and horses’ tack, stitching on reins and stirrup leathers is especially susceptible to wear and tear and should be replaced at the first sign of the stitching coming loose. You should be able to fit one finger either side of your foot within the stirrup, stirrups that are too small run the risk of a foot getting stuck in them in the case of a fall.
