Life with the Vale of Aylesbury Hunt Pony Club!

The Vale of Aylesbury Hunt Branch was established in 1931 and is part of the Pony Club Area 12 which reaches into Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire. Today we have approximately 100 members comprising a good balance of mini’s (4 – 8 years), juniors (8 – 11), seniors (11 –18) and Associates ( 21-25). Our club field is in Meadle, Buckinghamshire which we use regularly during the spring and summer and we have use of several other venues both indoor and outdoor, across the county.

A very friendly club, we encourage all our members to take part in as many disciplines as they can and we, often with great success, field teams at local and area level in show jumping, tetrathlon, mounted games, eventing, dressage and prix caprilli. We offer a wide variety of rallies and training opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Some of our members are very competitive others just enjoy riding, learning about looking after their ponies and the companionship that membership of the club offers. Whatever the ambitions of our members the majority come together for our Pony Club camp week – a real highlight of the year which is thoroughly enjoyed by members of all ages and levels of experience.
