McGonnell and Gillatt are a fully mobile, dedicated Equine Veterinary Practice covering Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. Covering all aspects of the equine world, in particular the sports horse.
Andrew McGonnell set up the practice in 2003 and was joined by Richard Gillatt in 2005. We are proud to say we have a total of six very experienced vets, four of which have advanced certificates. We pride ourselves on being a very friendly, traditional vet practice where we treat every client as an individual.
We offer a wide range of diagnostic evaluation and treatments in the comfort of your own yard, such as x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, shockwave treatment, dentistry and breeding and lameness workups.
All our vets are constantly updating their skills and knowledge via national and international conferences. Andrew has been completing a three year certificate with the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP). Emiliano recently attended a Bio Security course – dealing with infectious diseases in the yard, and Ellen attended an Advanced Opthalmology course.
We are now proud to introduce our new mobile video endoscopy system that we can bring to your yard, instead of travelling to hospital. Equine Gastric Syndrome (EGUS) is one of the most underrated equine conditions, more so in performance horses, as many as six out of ten are estimated to suffer from this condition. The only way to diagnose gastric ulcers is by looking directly in to the stomach with a gastroscope.
If you have any requirements for Paddock Maintenance, groundwork or drainage please contact R. J. Lampard & Co Ltd. For Equine Veterinary services contact McGonnell & Gillatt EVP Ltd, do mention that you are contacting them through the Vine Pony Club.
