Show Jumping

Show jumping starts with children learning the basics with our instructors at the mini rallies. Once confidently riding off the lead then children can join in our show jumping rallies from x-poles upwards with Michelle Woolmer, Sharon Quant and Sophie Altmann. Once members are comfortably jumping at 70cm they are ready to come to Show Jumping Rallies at April Farm or at Boomerang Stables.  Lots of our members have been show jumping beginners with us and gone on to represent the branch in major competitions, and some internationally.

We hold regular clear round jumping competitions at Adbury Park and at Lane End Farm.

For Pony Club competitions, even if you are also training elsewhere, it’s really important for members to regularly attend rallies and training provided by the branch so that your discipline head and the DC can make informed decisions about team selection for Area/regionals and other major competitions. This also will give our instructors a chance to get to know you and your pony/horse.  For Showjumping competitions Michelle Woolmer, Sophie Altmann or Sharon Quant will be our team coach. Separate team training will be organised in addition to regular rallies.
