What a fabulous time at Windsor for Constance King becoming 2024 Champion 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Constance King, a member of the West Hants Pony Club, won the Royal Windsor Horse Show Tetrathlon 2024. It was a huge honour to be selected to represent Area 14, and she was also part of the Southern England Team which included Erin Brown (Hampshire Hunt PC) and Alfie Allen (East Kent Hunt PC). Richard Mosley was managing the Southern England team and both calmed and encouraged his team in equal measures over the weekend. Constance won the shoot at Windsor Leisure Centre and also did a good swim on Saturday, before heading over to the showground to complete the run phase along the River Thames, which she also won. She was in the lead over night and was the 21st out of 24 competitors to show-jump on Sunday afternoon in the Frogmore Arena. Amy Robbins very kindly came up to course walk and warm them both up. Constance managed to keep her nerves in check and jumped a super clear on Sir Percy Piggott, one of only 6 clear rounds. The crowd sent up a huge cheer as she crossed the finish line, knowing that she had won! There were lots of West Hants voices in the cheer, sending her on her way. Constance and Piggy led the lap of honour which they both thoroughly enjoyed!
