JCB Championship Report
A week of competition a Offchurchbury for the Pony Club JCB Championships started with
Tetrathlon.
Junior Boys – Arthur Webb came 13th with a 1400 ride over a technical xc course.
Stepping Stones Boys- Teddy Lane came 6th This competition is a step up to Junior, Arthur competed in it last year.
Tuesday Open Dressage
Tilly Swanton came 18th
Wednesday –90 Show Jumping
Laurence Peaty and Jacob had a few poles and were out of the placings.
Thursday Intermediate Dressage Team
Isabelle Morris (Ind 4th), Molly Rattue (Ind 12th), Alice Rattue (Ind 7th) Scarlett Small (Ind 2nd)

Scarlett was 2nd in her Arena so went forward to the Ride off and came 6th.
Show Jumping Team
Benji Plunkett, Isabelle Morris & Molly Rattue
The team didn’t finish with a score but were awarded the Horsemanship Award for best Team in Intermediate Show Jumping
Molly double cleared and went forward to the individual Jump off.
Molly and Jones VDL (aka Joey) jumped an amazing clear to WIN the Championship. (A class of 212 competitors!)
On leaving the arena she threw her arms round his neck, and he promptly bucked her off, breaking her collarbone.
Joey was a double winner as Alice R rode him in the Dressage and 3 rounds of Jumping with Molly and still he had a buck to celebrate!
Friday and Saturday Eventing.
We had no teams but 2 individuals at PC90 and PC100
PC90 Arthur Webb and Boris finished 9th and Laurence Peaty and Jacob 18th
PC100 – Tilly Swanton and Benji Plunkett both performed Dressage score in the 20’s, but both had a rail and a few speedy time penalties.

Horsemanship Award – These are awarded for those riding in rhythm, balance and harmony with their horses on presentation, over and away from the fences.
To win 2 Horsemanship awards, we must thank our instructors including Julia Cory & Sam Griffiths, (there are many more who have got them from white ride to these Champs).
Also to Sally and Emma, and all the Parents for getting them to rallies, training and competitions.
