Dear Members,
Thank you to all those of you who have put your names down for Camp/Mini-Camp. Just a reminder to those whose membership runs out in July, who have put their names down, that you will not be able to attend without renewing. All deposits should now have been paid and any latecomers do need to get their names down by the end of next week. The second letters will follow during next week to all those booked in. Please ensure your horse/pony annual vaccinations are all up to date
What an amazing day the for Show Jumping team of Amelia, Sophia, Emily O and Holly at the Pony Club Team Show Jumping Competition at Bramham. Three teams were in the jump off and it ended up being a very tight finish. This is the third year that YAS have won this competition! Congratulations to the team – you were brilliant! The Pony Club Mini/Major show jumping competition was held the next day at Bramham in the main arena – YAS had two ‘majors’ – Ellie and Amelia – and two ‘minis’ – Hamish and Izzy – who all jumped really well. It was a real honour to be included in this for the second year and much enjoyed by all who took part.

There have been two Area Competitions so far – both very hot, long days! Well done to all our members who took part in both the Regional Show Jumping and the Area Eventing. Lila qualified at both 70 and 80, Emily at 70, Izzy H at 80 in the Show Jumping (qualifier for Kelsall Hill championships 29-31 August). At the Area Eventing, Alice and Emily T qualified at 70 and Harrison at 80 for Kelsall Hill and, for the National Championships, Holly qualified in both the Chairman’s Cup on one horse and the PC90 on another horse, Emily O, Amber and Sophia qualified as a team of 3 for the PC100, and Hamish qualified at PC90.
The Area Show Jumping and Area Dressage are still to come and we wish all members involved the best of luck and cooler days to compete!
Due to the ongoing Equine Flu, anyone able to take up their qualification for the National Championships and probably Kelsall Hill, will have to have had a vaccination or a 6 month booster within 6 months and 21 days of arriving at Offchurch Bury (or Kelsall Hill), and all vaccinations must be given at least 7 clear days before arrival. Passports are being checked before unloading and, if your passport is not as required, you will sent away.
Welcome to new member Charlotte C.
