Please clear up all droppings and rubbish from any venue (inside and outside) – some venues are private homes which people are kind enough to let us use. Please also remember that the Committee and DC are volunteers, so any help you can give is always welcome. We can always find you a job!
Sat 19 Sept: Mounted Rally (Rion) – Askham Bryan EC, YO23 3FR. 2pm start in staggered groups. There will be mounted games at the end of the first session, which will also include those in the second group wishing to do games – please confirm. £16.50 charge. Names to Gill by 16th.
Sat 19 Sept: Polework/Flatwork (Laura M) – Thornton House YO42 4DD. (Adjacent to Allerthorpe Common) YAS am/pm time slots to fit in with Clinic. £16 charge. Names to Gill by 16th.
Mon 21 Sept: Show Jumping Training (Phil Brown) – Bishop Burton Equestrian Centre (Outdoor School). 5.30pm start in groups – 80cm/90cm/1m and above, with priority to those already jumping 90cms and over. £35 charge. Names to Gill by 18th.
Thurs 24 Sept and Thurs 1 Oct: ‘C’ Test Care Training (dismounted) – Gill’s house in Huntington. 6.30pm start. No charge. Priority to Sharon’s group at Camp, as they have already done some practical care training, but anyone else who is interested who has passed their D+ test is welcome. There will be a ‘C’ Test Care test arranged either in October half term or a weekend day in November – date to be confirmed asap. Names to Gill by 21st.
Sat 26 Sept: Set up Sunday’s Show Jumping Competition. 4pm. Escrick Park. Help appreciated!
Sun 27 Sept: Branch Show Jumping Competition – Escrick Park. See earlier. N.B. Ages for Junior Series classes are the age you were on 1 January 2026 and not the age you are now!
Sun 4 Oct: Branch Pleasure Ride – Escrick Park and beyond – 12, 8 or 3 miles. See earlier.
Mon 5 Oct: General Rally (Mike) – Askham Bryan Equestrian Centre, YO23 3FR. 5.30pm start in staggered rides. Open to all where possible. £16.50 charge. Names to Gill by 2 Oct.
Wed 7 to Sun 11 Oct: HOYS – NEC Birmingham.

Mon 26 Oct: Mounted Hallowe’en Rally – Askham Bryan, YO23 3FR. 10.30am start in staggered rides depending on numbers. Hallowe’en outfits welcome! Prizes for the best! SJ/Games/Badges to suit different abilities/Refreshments. Open to all. £20 charge. Names to Gill by 23 Oct.
Thurs 29 Oct: Mounted Cross Country Rally (weather permitting) – Fair Oaks Farm, Burn, Selby YO8 8LE. 45cms to 90cms including water. £30 per horse. Open to all able to canter confidently off the lead rein in open spaces. 10.30am start in staggered groups. Remember to bring your back protector and lunch. No dogs allowed out of vehicles please. Names to Gill by 25 Oct.
