Thurs 19 Dec: Spurs Assessment– Askham Bryan Equestrian Centre. Members already entered.
Sun 22 Dec: Mounted Rally (to include flatwork, games and jumping) (Sharon) – Askham Bryan, YO23 3FR. Christmas outfits of any sort welcomed. 10.30am start in staggered rides depending on numbers. Open to all. £16.50 charge. Names to Gill by Friday 20 Dec.

Sun 29 Dec: PC Area 3 Spring Festival Arena Eventing – Northallerton Equestrian Centre.
All entries to be made through www.horse-events.co.uk PC membership number needed (ask Gill if in doubt). Enter as an individual – teams of 3 at each level to be made up after the closing date by DC’s. Classes 70/80/90/100cms. Closing date 26 December. Open to all current PC members. Rosettes to 6th. First two individuals and winning team at each level to qualify for Finals at Addington Equestrian, Bucks, on 1st and 2nd March. If unable to take up place, qualification passes down.
Mon 30 Dec: Mounted Christmas Rally (Mike +tbc) – Askham Bryan Equestrian Centre, YO23 3FR. 10.30am start in staggered rides depending on numbers. £16.50 charge. Open to all. Christmas outfits of any sort welcomed – small prizes to be given for best ones! (To include flatwork, games, jumping) Names to Gill by 27 Dec.
Mon 30 Dec: Area 3 Show Jumping Training with Heidi Simmons – East Lilling Grange Farm, Sheriff Hutton (outdoors) Open to those jumping 90cms and above. Enter through www.horse-events.co.uk
Thurs 2 Jan: Skate and Pizza and Annual Awards – Stockeld Park, Harrogate Road, Wetherby LS22 4AN. (See earlier in Newsletter) Skating at 6pm, followed by pizza and annual awards. All under 8 years going on the ice rink must be accompanied by an adult. There is a café on site. Open to all. Siblings may join in, but are the responsibility of an accompanying adult and not the Branch. Charge £20 to include skating, skate hire and pizza. Pizzas will be a mix of ham, cheese and tomato, pepperoni. Please confirm if vegetarian option wanted. Names to Gill by 28 December at the latest. Remember to bring trophies!

Sat 25 Jan: Pentathlon and PC Tetrathlon Training Day – St Peter’s School, York YO30 6AB.
9am to 4pm. £25 (pay on the day) for the day inc equipment. Swimming, Laser/Pellet Shooting, Running, Fencing. All welcome but must be able to swim unaided age 8 yrs and over. Prize for best Christmas outfit. Packed lunch needed, plus swim kit and long socks for fencing. Book – yorkspentathlon@btinternet.com by 20 January.
