Welcome to our Branch of The Pony Club. We have Members from the age of 4-25, who participate in a variety of activities, from Rallies, Competitions, Tests and Camp. The Pony Club is a unique youth equestrian organisation, providing the opportunity to participate in 9 different sports. At our Branch we focus on Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Polocrosse, Mounted Games, Polo, Pony Racing, Tetrathlon and Endurance.

The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members, equine professionals, and medal winners. Training is at the heart of The Pony Club, providing opportunities to build knowledge on improving equine welfare, rider safety and enabling Members to develop lifelong skills, alongside riding, and having fun!

What We Do

We hold rallies and events every week of the year, right across the equestrian disciplines:

Alongside ridden rallies, we also run unmounted (on-foot) rallies, lessons, camp, competitions, badge days and social events. There really is something for everyone.

A Friendly, Welcoming Branch

We are all about family, friends and fun! We are traditional in our values and are regularly praised for the smartness of our members and ponies at rallies and events. More often than not, we come away with “Best Turned Out”.

Our branch is regularly invited to put on demonstration rides at venues across the area, and we are proud of our reputation for being friendly and inclusive.

Proud of Our Members

Our members achieve at every level, from grassroots right up to national finals. We were proud of a fantastic 2025:

  • Winners of the Area Horse & Pony Care Competition (Minis)
  • Members placed at all Area Competitions, across Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, Mounted Games, Quiz and Horse & Pony Care
  • Branch winners of the Winter League Dressage Series
  • Members passed their efficiency tests from E to B, ridden and theory

And there is plenty to look forward to. In 2026 we are proud to be hosting the Area 4 National Championship Horse & Pony Care Qualifier at World Horse Welfare, Penny Farm.

Whether your child has their own pony, a loan or a share, or no pony at all, there is a place for them at Fylde & District Pony Club. New members join through the main Pony Club website.
