The Pony Club offers so much to discover, both ridden and unmounted, and there can be a lot to take in when you are starting out. This page brings together useful information and links to help members and parents find their way around. You will also find answers to common questions on our FAQ page, and our Branch Committee are always happy to help and offer guidance.

Pony Club Rules and Policies

To keep everyone safe and uphold fair sportsmanship, The Pony Club has clear Rules and Policies for training and competition. We encourage all members and parents to familiarise themselves with them. The activity rulebooks and the rules members ask about most often are listed on our FAQ page, and the full set of rules and policies is available in the Pony Club Resource Hub.

Information for Parents

Volunteers, coaches and officials work together to offer a wealth of opportunities to our members, and parents and guardians play a vital role too. Whether you can help at events, lend a hand with organising, or simply come along and support, you are a valued part of branch life. Guidance for parents and guardians is available in the Pony Club Resource Hub.

Members’ Insurance

Every Pony Club member is covered by insurance arranged through Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd, which protects members while taking part in Pony Club and other equestrian activities. We strongly recommend that members, parents and guardians review the details of the cover provided.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and The Pony Club takes it very seriously. The Safeguarding Policy provides guidance and key contacts for anyone who has concerns about a child, young person or vulnerable adult. Our Branch Safeguarding Officer is available to discuss any immediate concerns, and you can find their contact details on our Contact Us page. The full safeguarding documents are available in the Resource Hub.
