Horses/Ponies For Sale or Loan

Anyone interested in any of the following horses/ponies should satisfy themselves that the details are correct, as they have not been verified by the HH Pony Club

13″1′ 12 yr old Welsh section B gelding, Jack (Barkway Dartagnan) Stunning dun pony.

Jack 2 JackVery classy mover with beautiful manners and very well schooled. We’ve had him two years and enjoyed all pony club rally’s and camp. He excels showing and in dressage competitions. We have enjoyed two junior camps with him, sponsored rides, pairs XC and he is truly wonderful to hack. He is a lovely character to have around. So good to handle, play around on, bareback to field in a head collar, fun fun fun at gymkhana games and a true friend. He has transformed her riding and they have had so much fun together. Safe, very responsive ride.

Just completed Junior camp at Herriard Park in Ingrid’s ride should you want a reference.

We have regular lessons with Cordelia and is known well to her therefore he is going to be at her yard for sales livery from 20th August whilst I am juggling work and school holidays but we are very happy to talk about him to anyone.

£4800 includes bridle, rugs etc. Lovely saddle available separately.

He is much adored and is a wonderful pony. If you are a competing home he is very talented at dressage. And he loves to do things in company such as pairs and sponsored rides. At home and at rally’s he really enjoys his jumping, but we are not seeking a jumping competition home for him as he can get anxious in the ring.

West Field Rebel – 148cm Irish Sports Pony

Buster 1 Buster 2 Buster 3 Buster 4 Buster 5Buster is a stunning bay 13-year-old 148cm (LHC) Irish Sports Pony.  He has a heart of gold and has brought my daughter on in leaps and bounds in the 2 years we have had him.  We bought him for her as a nervous 12 year old competing at 70cm and they have now been flying around chunky 100cm show jumping and cross country courses.  Their most recent achievement was coming third in the NSEA Intermediate (90cm) Summer Show Jumping Championships at The Royal Windsor Horse Show this May.

They have had numerous wins and placings at NSEA and Pony Club events (ODEs, JAS, Eventer Challenges).  He adores his show jumping and is extremely quick and careful against the clock and will always help his rider out.  In his previous home in Ireland he accrued 133 SJI points jumping up to 120 tracks.  He loves his cross country, jumping ditches, water, drops, steps without batting an eyelid.  He is forward going but is not strong or silly.  He competed in his first BE90 earlier this spring.  He works very well on the flat, has done several pony club camps, hacks out happily on his own and in company and has hunted in Ireland.

Buster has a very sweet nature and always wants to please.  He is a 100% honest pony both in the saddle and on the ground.  He is easy to clip, wash, shoe, catch, load, groom, do studs etc.  Happy to stand around at a show and his behaviour doesn’t change from home to being at an event.

This is a heartbreaking sale of a loyal family friend who has now been enormously outgrown.  We are looking for a 5* caring home where he will be loved and cherished and in return he will give enormous pleasure to another family. Up to date on teeth, vacs, back etc

Wanted – pony on loan

We are looking for a new loan pony which is VERY steady and confidence-making. Anything 13.2 to 14.2 considered. Our daughter has lost a lot of confidence on our last pony which was too feisty for her, and needs to rebuild this on something that has seen it all and is possibly older and/or cobby, but definitely dependable and needing a kick rather than a pull!  If anyone has a steady old chap with a small amount of mileage left, please contact:

Pip came from the RSPCA in 2014 as a companion for my other horse. However, it became clear that she was wasted as a companion and she was broken and schooled at a professional yard near Dorking last autumn. After a few months off over the winter, Pip has been brought back into work at the same yard.

She is doing well and loves her work. She works very nicely in the school and has lovely balanced paces. She loves hacking out, is very bold and happy to be in front. She is easy to lunge and long rein.

Pip is an 11.2hh  liver chestnut mare and looks like a Welsh Section B type (her exact breeding is of course unknown). She is believed to be about 8 years old. Her conformation is very fine and the maximum weight which she can carry is about 47/48 kilos (about 7.5 stone).

She is a sweet natured pony who is good to handle, stable, box and transport. She stands quietly for the farrier but has not yet been shod. She gets on with other ponies in the field and doesn’t get too clingy with her field or stable mates.

She now needs a loan home to take her education forward. She would be suitable for a young (or small) rider with some experience, or possibly as a leading rein pony but with an experienced handler (or mum). She jumps well in the school and has popped over little logs out hacking.

If it suited a potential borrower I would be very happy for Pip  to remain at home in the Liss, Hampshire area. (We have great hacking and an exercise paddock). She has her own tack  including a bespoke saddle.

If interested, please contact Kathryn on 01730 894355 or 07798567665.

Loan pony wanted

Nicky Bowden is a chartered physiotherapist who uses hippotherapy as a Physio treatment for disabled children. She has recently had to retire one of my ponies so is on the look out for another small pony 10.3-11.3hh to loan with view to buy. The disabled children are under five years old mainly starting with me at about two years old.

A five star home offered in Ropley to a pony with an exceptional temperament. A good walk is also essential as this is the only pace Nicky uses and so long as the pony is sound, it doesn’t need to trot, canter or jump. It would suit an older pony needing a quieter life.

14.2hh wanted on loan

Ebony Horse Club is need of another pony – they are looking for a 14.2hh gelding, weight-carrier – ideally for loan.

The ponies are beautifully cared for at the EHC yard as they have so many keen volunteers as you will all see if you would like to join the trip to their yard in October.
