Retired Polo pony looking for a new home
16hh Thoroughbred mare Ebey is looking for a permanent home. Ebey was born in New Zealand, was raced there, then brought to England and retrained as a polo pony (a good one as she played high goal in her time). She played for the HH polo teams for 3 seasons and retired from competitive polo a couple of years ago. Although 22, Ebey is young at heart and still likes to be active and included in things! She certainly doesn’t look old. Having been a racehorse and polo pony she has been well handled and seen all sorts so she isn’t skittish. She is happy living out, isn’t shod but sound and a lovely ride. For more information contact Julie Cheyney at firstname.lastname@example.org or 07771 618385
DUSKY – For Sale: 14.2h Dark Bay Mare
DUSKY, (14), part Welsh Cobb, is a brilliant all round pony who particularly excels at show jumping. She has been an active member of the HH Pony Club and Hunt for the past 3 years. She won the 1m Garth South show jumping in 2013, has competed at Novice eventing in 2012 and 2013. She has done BE90 (got double clear) and BE100. Came 3rd in the team event at Bisley and 4th individually. Got double clear at Crofton Manor 3-3’3. We have worked hard on her dressage and she has been achieving scores in the 30s. She has done many more events and has regularly taken part in many rallies and senior camp. She has hunted regularly over the past 3 years and is also happy to hack alone. Easy to shoe, clip and box etc.

Sylvester – super, all-rounder – 13.2hh 8yo Grey Gelding
Sylvie is a Connemara cross who has in the past hunted and jumped up to 4ft. With my fair weather rider son – he has given us super times at the HHPC camp and rallies, as well as hacking and schooling at home. He has a good conformation to suit a dressage outline and did well at the Southern Championships despite the odd “pilot error”.
Due to pressures from other sports we have decided that Sylvie is being wasted with us and should go on to another 5-star home. The ideal setting would be a knowledgeable riding family with a competitive and confident young jockey. Sylvie has all the ability to deliver results for an ambitious rider with whom he can build a trusting relationship.
This pony has not been jumped into the ground so should have years of pleasure ahead for a youngster/ light adult. He has no vices, lives out or in, loads onto a trailer or a lorry and is sociable with other equines.
Video available by email or on Candover Stud Facebook page. Price £5,500

Connemara, 12 y/o
Had a successful season at BSJA with many wins at British Novice and Discovery. Competed regularly unaffiliated on PC and NSEA teams. Excellent XC. One in a million.
Won her class at the Sunshine Tour this year. Won PC Areas SJ with her team this year. Too many wins to mention. If you have a competitive child this pony is for you.
This little pocket rocket is a consistent show jumping machine, well schooled, knows her job and loves to compete. She has taken my daughter from timidly jumping 2’3 to boldly jumping 3’3. Bold jump, very fast against the clock and can turn on a sixpence – amazing in a jump off. She is forward going but does have brakes. Will look after a younger jockey and go at a slow pace or whizz around with a more confident rider. A real confidence giver.
We would love to keep her for ever, but her rider is just too big for her.
She is also great at XC and will jump water, ditches, anything. She has done some limited dressage and is well schooled. She is hacked out by a child and is completely safe with open fields, tractors, dogs, chickens, chain saws, etc.
A darling on the ground, bags of character, and loved by us all.
Good to hose, shoe, clip, load, worm, travel etc.
Open to references, vet check etc. 5* homes for this 5* pony please.
Lots of photos and videos available on request
Based just north of Basingstoke
