Horses/Ponies For Sale or Loan

Anyone interested in any of the following horses/ponies should satisfy themselves that the details are correct, as they have not been verified by the HH Pony Club

Wanted – pony on loan

We are looking for a new loan pony which is VERY steady and confidence-making. Anything 13.2 to 14.2 considered. Our daughter has lost a lot of confidence on our last pony which was too feisty for her, and needs to rebuild this on something that has seen it all and is possibly older and/or cobby, but definitely dependable and needing a kick rather than a pull!  If anyone has a steady old chap with a small amount of mileage left, please contact:

Pip came from the RSPCA in 2014 as a companion for my other horse. However, it became clear that she was wasted as a companion and she was broken and schooled at a professional yard near Dorking last autumn. After a few months off over the winter, Pip has been brought back into work at the same yard.

She is doing well and loves her work. She works very nicely in the school and has lovely balanced paces. She loves hacking out, is very bold and happy to be in front. She is easy to lunge and long rein.

Pip is an 11.2hh  liver chestnut mare and looks like a Welsh Section B type (her exact breeding is of course unknown). She is believed to be about 8 years old. Her conformation is very fine and the maximum weight which she can carry is about 47/48 kilos (about 7.5 stone).

She is a sweet natured pony who is good to handle, stable, box and transport. She stands quietly for the farrier but has not yet been shod. She gets on with other ponies in the field and doesn’t get too clingy with her field or stable mates.

She now needs a loan home to take her education forward. She would be suitable for a young (or small) rider with some experience, or possibly as a leading rein pony but with an experienced handler (or mum). She jumps well in the school and has popped over little logs out hacking.

If it suited a potential borrower I would be very happy for Pip  to remain at home in the Liss, Hampshire area. (We have great hacking and an exercise paddock). She has her own tack  including a bespoke saddle.

If interested, please contact Kathryn on 01730 894355 or 07798567665.

Loan pony wanted

Nicky Bowden is a chartered physiotherapist who uses hippotherapy as a Physio treatment for disabled children. She has recently had to retire one of my ponies so is on the look out for another small pony 10.3-11.3hh to loan with view to buy. The disabled children are under five years old mainly starting with me at about two years old.

A five star home offered in Ropley to a pony with an exceptional temperament. A good walk is also essential as this is the only pace Nicky uses and so long as the pony is sound, it doesn’t need to trot, canter or jump. It would suit an older pony needing a quieter life.

Conker12.2hh liver chestnut Welsh Section C. Stunning, loveable pony with great paces and a fantastic jump. He is always willing and never refuses. Loves show jumping and cross country and has hunted. We have also done polo on him which he enjoyed. He is good to shoe, box and handle on the ground. We bought him in August for my daughter who was getting on well with him but finds him too forward after her real kick along pony. This isn’t helped by him being a little too big for her. He would suit a busy, knowledgeable home.

We would be prepared to do a lwvtb to the right home.
