Horses/Ponies For Sale or Loan

Anyone interested in any of the following horses/ponies should satisfy themselves that the details are correct, as they have not been verified by the HH Pony Club

For Loan/Sale

Bobby 1 Bobby 2 Bobby 2017

Bobby is a 12.2hh chestnut Welsh Gelding PC/hunting pony

He has been to the last 4 HH PC camps, HH Mini Camp 2014 and 2015 and HH Junior Camp 2016 and 2017

Fantastically able pony, forward going with older riders but able to be quiet on the lead rein and has been ridden as first off the lead rein pony (at HH camps). He will happily jump up to about 40 cms, but for Juniors jumping bigger (say 60 cms), positive riding needed as he can put in a stop occasionally. However, he’s a terrific hunting pony and always shows off his fabulous jump out hunting, on sponsored rides or out riding and, with the right rider, will go far!

Very easy to handle, box, shoe, catch, traffic etc. Good to do in every way and very safe around young children. Lives in or out and has a lot of character as he’s a brilliant fun pony.

Good, knowledgeable home essential.

11.2 HH   Grey gelding for Loan, 21 years young

StormWe have had Storm for many years and he has taught two of my boys to ride . He is a great lead rein pony and has done all manner of things in the pony club  and at home, including games, dressing up rallies at Halloween, Christmas etc , PC camp, show jumping comps and cross country.  He would just be perfect to teach more children how to ride and as still has a lot more to give as is fit and well and enthusiastic.. my 9 year old is still riding him but he needs something bigger.

He is easy to do in every way and totally safe around small children and animals and he hacks out alone or in company.

He would come with all his tack and rugs.

Fantastic Jumping pony For Sale 13.2hh Grey gelding, 14 years

NoddyBrilliant and much loved pony club pony, well mannered and easy to handle, load, good with the farrier, vet, traffic, lives out or in and safe around animals and small children. can be lead easily from another horse.

We have had Noddy for the past 4 years during which time we have done pony club activities, including show jumping and cross country, lots of hacking (alone or in groups) on the roads and across the open countryside and pony club games. He is very able and really really loves his jumping, but equally he is happy to potter about. He is forward going but not strong and I think will continue to do well with a confident rider to have lots more fun.

His rider is now at boarding school and so is bored with nothing to do at home.

£2700. Tack/ Rugs available by separate negotiation.

Good home very important for this very special chap.

Wanted – pony on loan

We are looking for a new loan pony which is VERY steady and confidence-making. Anything 13.2 to 14.2 considered. Our daughter has lost a lot of confidence on our last pony which was too feisty for her, and needs to rebuild this on something that has seen it all and is possibly older and/or cobby, but definitely dependable and needing a kick rather than a pull!  If anyone has a steady old chap with a small amount of mileage left, please contact:

Pip came from the RSPCA in 2014 as a companion for my other horse. However, it became clear that she was wasted as a companion and she was broken and schooled at a professional yard near Dorking last autumn. After a few months off over the winter, Pip has been brought back into work at the same yard.

She is doing well and loves her work. She works very nicely in the school and has lovely balanced paces. She loves hacking out, is very bold and happy to be in front. She is easy to lunge and long rein.

Pip is an 11.2hh  liver chestnut mare and looks like a Welsh Section B type (her exact breeding is of course unknown). She is believed to be about 8 years old. Her conformation is very fine and the maximum weight which she can carry is about 47/48 kilos (about 7.5 stone).

She is a sweet natured pony who is good to handle, stable, box and transport. She stands quietly for the farrier but has not yet been shod. She gets on with other ponies in the field and doesn’t get too clingy with her field or stable mates.

She now needs a loan home to take her education forward. She would be suitable for a young (or small) rider with some experience, or possibly as a leading rein pony but with an experienced handler (or mum). She jumps well in the school and has popped over little logs out hacking.

If it suited a potential borrower I would be very happy for Pip  to remain at home in the Liss, Hampshire area. (We have great hacking and an exercise paddock). She has her own tack  including a bespoke saddle.

Loan pony wanted

Nicky Bowden is a chartered physiotherapist who uses hippotherapy as a Physio treatment for disabled children. She has recently had to retire one of my ponies so is on the look out for another small pony 10.3-11.3hh to loan with view to buy. The disabled children are under five years old mainly starting with me at about two years old.

A five star home offered in Ropley to a pony with an exceptional temperament. A good walk is also essential as this is the only pace Nicky uses and so long as the pony is sound, it doesn’t need to trot, canter or jump. It would suit an older pony needing a quieter life.

14.2hh wanted on loan

Ebony Horse Club is need of another pony – they are looking for a 14.2hh gelding, weight-carrier – ideally for loan.

The ponies are beautifully cared for at the EHC yard as they have so many keen volunteers as you will all see if you would like to join the trip to their yard in October.
