All Area 11 branch activities are stopping  to comply with the Government’s statement in relation to controlling the spread of Covid-19. Please see the Pony Club statement below.

The Pony Club statement on Covid-19 – updated 16th March

The Pony Club Board of Trustees has been in discussion today and has made the very difficult decision to cancel all centrally organised events.

This includes the Winter Triathlon at Stoke Mandeville on Sunday 22nd March and The Winter Series Final at Arena UK 4th / 5th April.

Following The Prime Minister’s announcement this evening, requesting that we minimise social contact and non-essential travel, we advise that ALL Pony Club activities cease with immediate effect.

We would like to thank our members, parents and volunteers for their support of The Pony Club in this decision to play our part in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Please continue to stay safe and well during this difficult time.

We will keep you updated as soon as we have any further information.

About Area 11 of the Pony Club

The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for those interested in horses, ponies and riding. Area 11 covers the south eastern corner of the United Kingdom. Our area stretches from Sussex, across to the Kent coast and as far north as London.
Within Area 11 there are currently 21 Pony Club branches as well as 37 linked Pony Club centres. The branches vary from the suburban, on the outskirts of London, to the very rural with the largest branch having 232 members whilst the smallest has just 14.  Within the area we cater for all types of equestrian competition and have members aged from 5 to 25.

If you are considering joining a branch in this area:
  • Contact the nearest branch directly: select a branch from the menu
  • Go directly to the branch website where you will find some information about the branch along with contact details for the District Commissioner (DC) who runs the branch, and also the secretary or membership secretary.
  • If you are not sure which branch is local to you then just give the DC a call and they will be able to advise you based on where you live, go to school and keep your pony.

This website contains information about events, training courses and competitions that are run on an area level for all branches.
