The Pony Club requires that, in order to remain on our register of coaches and teach at any Pony Club event, all coaches undertake development training at least once every 2 years. These courses below are organised within the area and all will count as a CPD refresher.

Krissy Spiller, one of the trainers for the CPD ‘Course Building for Coaches’ has produced a book. Called ‘Course Designing: creating quality courses’, it is available on Krissy’s website: https://www.krissyspiller.co.uk/my-book
This course is run by the National Autistic Society for sports coaches. It has been approved as a CPD for Pony Club coaches and by the BHS for APCs (1 CPD Point). The Pony Club is working in partnership with Dengie Horse Feeds to deliver nutrition webinars.
Each and every Pony Club Coach is required to attend at least one Coaching Course (CPD) every year. This may be at Branch, Area, Regional or National Level. The course must be listed on our approved CPD calendar. If you would like to attend a course not listed please send details to training@pcuk.org before booking to check if the course can be accepted for Pony Club CPD.
