The cost of the C+ test is £50 per section/ £100 for the Full C+ Test.
To book in for the test you need to have sent in your nomination form a minimum of 8 weeks before your test. You need to ask your DC/Centre Proprietor to complete the form.
To become an effective rider who knows the reasons for what he or she is doing.
To know the Scales of Training.
To understand the Scales provide a staircase of training suitable for all horses and ponies.
To be able to maintain a horse’s way of going.
To ride over fences at all paces.
To be able to ride well-mannered horses or ponies out hunting, in horse trials, or on an
endurance or fun ride.
To ride intelligently and with due regard for others in the country, with a knowledge of
pace, distance and discipline when riding alone and in groups.
Know how and be able to manage, work and care for a grass-kept or stabled horse/pony receiving hard feed, and gain practical experience of this.
To look after a horse/pony before, during and after a day’s hunting or competition.

After passing your B Test the next stages are:
– Lunging Test
– B+ Test
– A/H Test (A test Care)
– A Test
You can download the syllabi for these tests from the main Pony Club Website.
These tests need to be taken in the order above and those wishing to take their AH test need to take and pass the Lunge test in the spring of the year they intend to attempt their AH Test.
The tests and much of the training will be run on an area basis, rather than by individual branches and the Area 11 co-ordinator for these tests is Inge Bateman: Ingedb@live.com. You will need to get your nomination forms in early and these must be signed by your DC. Please do keep your DC aware of your plans. They should be accompanied by the correct payment via BACs.

Nomination forms for the A Test should be sent to PC Headquarters. Cost for this is £240, sometimes subsidised by the branch depending on their finances and committee decisions.

Please arrive on the first day between 9 to 9.30 to sort groups out and be riding by 10. For any parents who need to get to work you can drop off anytime after 7.30!
Please bring all riding equipment and lunging if you are doing the lunge test or AH and feed for your horse
All lunches and food for you will be provided. There is hay here if you need it
